At the Bernissart Mine in Belgium, coal miners stumbled on the first large multiple-dinosaur find, an incredible 31 fossilized skeletons of Iguanodon in 1877.
Other important European dinosaur finds include the Baryonyx in England; the Megalosaurus in Portugal and France; Compsognathus, Archaeopteryx, Iguanodon and Plateosaurus in Germany; Saltopus in Scotland; and Maiasaura in Ukraine.
